Chess Tournament

The Scoil Mhichíl Naofa Chess team made a triumphant return to competitive chess this year.

Three teams entered a chess tournament hosted by Athy Community College in conjunuction with the School Completion Program.

Over 82 pupils took from Scoil Phadraig Naofa, Model School Athy, Gael Scoil Áth Í and ourselves took part.

Great fun was had by all and many lessons were learned! Our pupils played valiantly and represented our school with pride.

They have built on the hard work and foundations they built last year during chess club in school and are looking forward to many more competitions throughout the year.
