Laudate Choral Festival.

The Laudate Festival is a Dublin Diocesan project that builds a common repertoire of hymns in both schools and parishes within the Diocese. It takes place during Catholic Schools Week each year. The highlight of the celebration is where children from Catholic Primary Schools in the diocese gather together over the course of four evenings to sing songs of praise. Approximately sixty schools will participate in this celebration over the course of four evenings that week.

This is the first year Scoil Mhichíl Naofa is involved in this celebration and we are really looking forward to the concert. The children from Rang IV and their teachers under the guidance of Mrs D Keogh and Ms Flood have been busy learning a beautiful repertoire of songs.

Our concert takes place on ....

Venue: The Church of the Holy Spirit in Ballyroan, Dublin.

Parents, families and parishioners who would like to join in an evening of song are all welcome.

Peace Proms

Peace Proms is a choral education project for Primary Schools. Peace Proms is a celebration of cultural diversity and promotes peace, unity and tolerance through music.

It is a fantastic experience for our children in Scoil Mhichíl Naofa; singing with a choir of up to 3,000 children, performing with a full symphony youth orchestra and working with one of the UK’s leading professional conductors, Greg Beardsell.

Scoil Mhichíl Naofa have been involved in this project since 2014. The children from Rang V and their teachers under the guidance of Mrs D Keogh and Ms. C. Flood have been busy developing their vocal technique, presentation and performance skills across a variety of musical styles and genres.

The children of fifth class also sing in a choir for masses and celebrations in the church such as the First Communion and Confirmation.
