Some students travelled to Athy GAA on Wednesday 1st March to take part in the Athy Primary School’s Cross Country.
There were 4 local schools represented with Scoil Mhichíl Naofa, Scoil Phádraig Naofa, Gaelscoil Átha Í and Shanganamore NS all taking part.
Students had been training hard over the last number of weeks and months getting ready for the races.
Well done to all the athletes who took part, especially our medal winners Daniel 5th Class, Leah 6th Class and Andie 6th Class.
For many students this was their first taste of competitive athletics and we hope to see them back for training on Tuesday evening.
