Both teams played a brilliant game exhibiting true talent and eager determination. At the end of the first quarter, Scoil Mhichil Noafa had taken a 3 point lead. Both teams were full of confidence with their heads held high going into the second quarter. Ballymany found their purple patch and scored 12 points without reply, leaving Scoil Mhichil Naofa with a mountain to climb in the second half. Scoil Mhichil Naofa showed their determination and resilience throughout the second half of the game and managed to tie the score at 20 - 20. Unfortunately, 2 well taken free throws in the final seconds of the game gave the victory to Ballymany. The game finished 24 -23.

Thursday 10th of November 2022, the 6th class boys team from Scoil Mhichil Naofa competed in a challenging game of basketball against Ballymany. There where phenomenal displays of athleticism and skill with both teams playing to an exceptional standard. Scoil Mhichil Naofa opened the scoring but Ballymany reciprocated immediately. This pattern continued for most of the game with the teams neck and neck throughout each quarter. With only seconds left in the final quarter, Adam Vilomosky scored the winning basket. The game finished 36 - 34 to Scoil Mhichil Naofa.
