Lá Fhéile Bríde

We celebrated St. Brigid's Day in Scoil Mhichíl Naofa yesterday.

We took part in celebrating mass yesterday morning.

Our fourth and fifth classes delighted everyone in the congregation with beautiful singing.

The children from second and sixth classes took part by doing the offertory procession and with the readings and prayers.

We also celebrated our Grandparents at the mass as part of Catholic Schools Week.

Grandparents were invited to attend the mass and to join us for refreshments afterwards.

The choir sang "Grandparent's love is very Wonderful" in celebration of their love for their Grandparents.

St. Brigid was a peacemaker. Some children took part in a minute silence for peace online in her honour.

Children throughout the school were learning about St. Brigid and her life. They made crosses from a range of different materials from paper to pipe cleaners to rushes. There were also many beautiful cloaks designed.
