Easter Fun
Junior Infants had chocolate on the brain and on the lips this week!!
The children had lots of fun listing the ingredients needed to make Easter Nests.
They discussed the steps involved in making Rice Krispie Easter Nests and they rolled up their sleeves and put these steps into action.
The children melted, poured, mixed, decorated and best of all tasted!!
Everyone agreed that Rice Krispie Easter Nests taste delicious!!

World Book Day in Junior Infants
The children wowed us today with their fabulous costumes for World Book Day.
We celebrated by reading stories connected to our Aistear Theme 'The Farm'. We enjoyed a cutting and sticking activity and created our own farm scenes.
We also enjoyed a puppet show and even created our own versions of some well known fairy tales with the puppets.
The children went home very happy with their World Book Day Book tokens and made great plans to visit Athy library soon.
It was a fun filled day!

Gymnastics in Junior Infants
The children in Junior Infants have been enjoying the strand of gymnastics this month.
They were thrilled to learn the correct technique of the pencil and teddy bear rolls.
Parents might have even seen them practising these at home!!

Science Experiments- Materials
The children were exploring the Aistear Theme: Clothes, learning about different types of clothes, clothes worn for specific occasions and the properties of various materials.
We conducted a science experiment to see which material would be most waterproof.
The children loved this activity. Look at our photographs!
