A group of children from Scoil Mhichíl Naofa made us very proud yesterday evening at the St. Abban's A.C. Student Games.
The athletes were Joseph, Nadia,Megan, Amica,Gabija,Vezna, Pippa,Karolina,Sochi,Julia,Gloria,Kvitka,Blessed. Aoibhinn,Daniel L,Tymon,Jubilant,Filip, Ellijah and Mihail.
The children took part in:
80m sprint
500m long distance run
Relays
Shot putt
Long jump.
Medal winners:
Daniel L 6th class - Gold in 500m and Gold in Shot putt.
Blessed Nleya 6th class - Silver in shot putt, Silver in 500m and gold in 80m sprint.
Joseph Bunga 5th class - Silver in shot putt and silver in 80m sprint.
6th class relay team were 1st - Daniel, Gloria, Jubilant and Blessed.
5th class relay team were very unlucky to finish 4th.
Overall as a school we came second and were just 6 points behind the winning school from Carlow.
Well done also to their coaches Ms. Lawlor, Ms. Dower and Ms. Hourigan.
